October 19th-24th is Teen & Tween Read Week at the East Lyme Public Library. Enter our prize drawing to win a free gift certificate to the Book Barn. Stop by the Children's Room or the Young Adult Nook to pick up your entry forms. Prize winners will be notified on October 26th.

Need something to do after a half day of school? Don't miss this FREE spooky event for tweens and teens at the East Lyme Public Library!

• Spooky New England Tales by Faye Ringel

• Friday, October 9th at the East Lyme Public Library

• 11:45am to 12:30pm: FREE afternoon snacks

• 1pm to 1:45pm: Snowbound with Zombies

• Recommended for grades 5 & up.

• No registration required.

Author Faye Ringel will share stories (some of them true!) about New England ghosts, witches, and zombies. Do YOU have a story you'd like to share? There will be time for audience participation!

Faye has been collecting and telling New England stories for many years for listeners and readers of all ages. She has a chapter in the new book, Snowbound with Zombies, based on the folklore and poetry of the classic nineteenth-century poet, John Greenleaf Whittier.
