Teen & Tween Read Weeks
October 18 to October 31
Middle School and High School students! Stop by the Young Adult Nook or the Children's Room to enter our prize drawing to win a gift certificate to the Book Barn. All you have to do is write down the title of book that you read recently and why you did or did not like it. Teen Read Week™ is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users. This year’s theme is “Get Away @ Your Library.”
